Data Science Engineer

The Enabled Intelligence Data Science team leverages our growing body of annotated data into reliable and powerful AI tools for the US government and its partners and develops strategies for AI/ML data curation and AI model development. The Data Science Engineer will work closely with our Director of Data Science to develop infrastructure and tools to support dataset creation, model development, and model testing. Examples of projects that the Data Science Engineer will collaborate on are developing a model-assisted labeling pipeline for electro-optical geospatial imagery, designing data processing and visualization tools for hyper-spectral imagery and implement an end-to-end model training and evaluation pipeline. This position will also support the VP of Operations in setting up annotation projects and exporting completed projects to clients as well as assisting with general IT needs inside the secure space such as setting up user accounts and trouble shooting platform issues.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 4 years experience with Python
• Strong software engineering skills
• Understanding of common computer vision tasks such as image classification, object detection and semantic segmentation
• Experience with one or more deep learning frameworks, preferably PyTorch
• Ability to reliably communicate questions and collaborate with team members on projects
• Ability to work independently in an extremely inclusive environment with a diverse workforce
• Ability to obtain a top secret clearance

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• Understanding of other machine learning tasks, such as natural language processing
• Ability to understand machine learning research papers and adapt them to solve real-world problems
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineer, or related field
• Active US Top Secret Security Clearance

• Prolonged periods of sitting and looking at a computer screen
