Job description
Martin's is looking for a Catering Coordinator . Our ideal candidate is organized, motivated, and engaged.
Catering Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Face-to-face contact with catering customers
- Receive and input all catering orders for our metropolitan New Orleans locations (including online submissions)
- Coordinate with catering production managers to ensure orders are received and scheduled for delivery
- Sight visits for catering events
- Develop catering customers and cultivate new sales
- Assist the catering production managers on an as needed basis
- Assign casual laborers to work catering events
- Quality Control of catering items menu, presentation and portions
Catering Coordinator Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree preferred
- 1+ years catering or outside sales experience preferred
- Must be able to work most Saturday mornings, occasional event set up in evenings
- High familiarity with kitchen equipment, processes, and health and safety guidelines
- State food safety certification may be required (NOTE: May be obtained after hire)
- Detail-oriented and solid organizational skills
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively and assist when needed
