Job description
The ideal candidate has a passion for education, is an experienced project manager, and an excellent communicator.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head of School, Chief Advancement Officer, Advancement Team and volunteer campaign leadership to continue to create and implement a strategic direction for the campaign;
- Support the campaign through managing its various stages – quiet, major gift and public phase;
- Develop cultivation and gift request strategies at all financial levels;
- Organize the pipeline of individual, charitable foundation, and business campaign prospects;
- Prioritize prospects, conduct research, and draft communications, proposals, donor profiles and briefing memos for potential campaign donors;
- Support the committees; assist in campaign volunteer recruitment, help set strategy, conduct
- follow-up for group meetings and train volunteers for gift requests;
- Develop donor acknowledgment, recognition and stewardship platforms & ensure proper execution;
- Assist in strategizing and implementing campaign cultivation and recognition receptions, in coordination with the Director of Events and Engagement;
- Provide campaign updates and numerical analysis to Darlington Trustees, Campaign Leaders, the Head of School, and the Chief Advancement Officer;
- Continue to build a suite of relevant campaign reports, as necessary;
- Develop campaign collateral (i.e., brochures, pamphlets, external communications, updated Case for Support), in coordination with the Chief Advancement Officer and the Director of Communications;
- Work with Chief Advancement Officer to maintain the Campaign Budget;
- Maintain a comprehensive campaign timetable; and
- Implement other duties as assigned by the Chief Advancement Officer.

- Be highly organized with strong attention to deadlines, detail and accuracy in a fluid environment
- Exhibit collaborative spirit when responding to emerging or unplanned projects
- Have excellent oral, written, telephone and e-mail communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituents
- Have strong computer skills, including high competency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Raiser’s Edge.
- Be willing to travel as required and to work evenings and weekends as necessary
- Have a Bachelor's degree (communications, nonprofit management, public relations, or related field)
