Materials Manager
Oversee all material operations. This pivotal role involves developing and directing the organization's strategic and long-term goals, fostering an environment that encourages cross-functional training and knowledge-sharing among planners.
The focus is on enabling them to effectively support the various business groups. Additionally, the role entails leading, inspiring, and promoting our Principle Based Management Guiding Principles throughout our planning processes and performance evaluations. This position interfaces with management at all levels, including personnel at overseas entities, to resolve critical issues related to product, delivery, quality, and service, particularly concerning warehouse and planning operations.

This unit focuses on developing and delivering a wide array of products and solutions that cater to the specific needs of these industries. These solutions often involve connectors, cables, components, and integrated systems that address connectivity, data transmission, and control system requirements in transportation (such as automotive and commercial vehicles) and various industrial applications.
Responsibilities
The role of the manager is critical to this position and is a primary responsibility.
Collaborate with Global Sales Operations Planning & Execution (GSPO&E) groups to assure alignment and synergy in the overall planning.
Managing a team of Production Planners & CSR’s, balance and coordinate the workloads and responsibilities of the employees within the Materials Planning/Scheduling function to support Plant level metrics, Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost.
Economic thinking when planning to reduce changeovers and optimize run times on the machines.
Planning and inventory control / formalize cycle count process. Report out counts and be accountable for accuracy / corrections.
Through the analysis of forecasts and marketing information, master production schedules for anticipated materials requirements.
Ensure that all personnel (import/export warehouse, planning, Intercompany Customer Service Reps) receive appropriate training.
This applies to new training as well as ongoing training.
Manage and evaluate activities and performance of personnel (import/export warehouse, planning, Intercompany Customer Service Reps) providing appropriate advice, counsel, and guidance.
Qualifications
A minimum of (7) seven years in Materials Management, supply chain, or logistics, with a focus in manufacturing environments
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
At least (3) three years of hands-on experience leading and managing teams in materials planning, procurement, and inventory control, with a focus on direct people management.
Experience working with various supply chain software systems, including ERP and MRP systems.
