The Role
We are looking for a Senior Copywriter to work as part of an embed agency, who can write effectively for social media, radio and print. Whether it’s an email to a new customer which explains the benefits of their newly purchased digital subscription, or an in-feed social ad which promotes an exciting weekend supplement, you’ll be able to engage a discerning target audience.
The ideal candidate will be required to originate creative ideas/concepts for various projects and craft the copy that clearly communicates these ideas to the end user.
Responsibilities:
You will work on a mix of short and long copy depending on the media, for example print ads will require tightly crafted headlines and small amounts of explanatory copy, whereas longer form communications such as brochures, micro-sites, landing pages and emails will need significantly more detail.
You will need to:
Come up with creative ideas and concepts, in partnership with the art director / designer
Present ideas to leadership for approval and development
Write clear, persuasive, original copy through the various iterations of the project
Liaise with clients and interpret their briefs
Work on several campaigns at once, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines
Keep up to date with popular culture and trends
Skills and Experience Required:
At least 5 years’ experience of copywriting
Working across the spectrum of media communications from print to digital
Bringing a strong working knowledge of how copy must evolve and adapt to suit different media and platforms
Applying precise attention to detail and determination to bring craft and quality to the creative work
Working across multiple projects at the same time using strong time management skills
Creating and maintaining a consistent and adaptable brand tone of voice
Translating specialist expertise into language appropriate for a customer audience
Excellent communication skills
Strong problem solving
The pay range for this role is $100,000-$125,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local cost of labor. Salary is subject to change based on factors such as geographic location and cost of living in location of hire.
