Job description
Sportsman Boats is looking for a Assembly Associates in our capping, consoles, cushion installation, rubrail, t-top, and outboard motor areas. To be considered, candidates must have a stable work history, be experienced with both basic and electronic hand tools, and enjoy working with your hands building and putting equipment together.
What you will do:
- Assemble and install equipment meeting high quality standards and daily production numbers
- Pull wires, install equipment like Yamaha outboards, Garmin systems, stereo components, navigation systems, other hardware to specification
- Use basic hand tools and power equipment (miter saw, reciprocating saw, drill, driver, etc.)
- Build T-tops and consoles
- Inspect parts for accuracy and quality
- Follow safety procedures
- Maintain area tools and equipment
- Able to read and interpret manufacturing schedules
- Able to read and understand units of measure
- Physically able to climb in and out of boats
- Be challenged and have fun along the way
To be considered you must have:
- Experience with air, hand, and power tools
- Experience in boating, automotive, electrical, or carpentry
- Ability to climb in and out of boats, bend, and stand for up to 8 hours per day
