Digital Marketing Specialist Job Summary:
We're looking for a creative, action-oriented, and mission-aligned Digital Marketing Specialist to join the marketing team of a well-known author. Your work will involves managing social media platforms, website, newsletters, and CRM, and ensuring messaging is clearly articulated and widely disseminated. This in-person position reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications. This will be a hybrid role onsite four days per week in Tysons, VA .
Digital Marketing Specialist Responsibilities:
- Execute on strategy provided by the leadership team for outreach and engagement with the author's audience.
- Develop a social media calendar to drive interest and engagement through daily feed posts and story content. This includes platform and content strategy, content production, and programming across all social media channels.
- Manage all social media accounts including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Tik Tok.
- Respond to comments and DMs and engage followers on behalf of the organization.
- Monitor analytics and set specific goals and objectives, reporting weekly on social media performance, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Utilize, refine and maintain brand and communications style guide for social media accounts, including logos, hashtags, tagging, video formats, tone of voice, and digital assets.
- Create, produce, and edit photo and video content for all platforms to capture regular new content.
- Update website content and calendar events in HubSpot.
Digital Marketing Specialist Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Graphic design and photo and video editing experience required.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Understanding of storytelling and what makes engaging social media content.
- Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms.
- Proficient in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, and social media management tools such as Sprout Social.
- Familiarity with website management and Google Analytics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Photography/Videography experience a plus.
- HubSpot experience a plus.
