Job Summary:
The VP/People and Culture will serve as a key leader responsible for helping to shape a broad scope of strategic and tactical plans for Human Capital initiatives. The VP will successfully support strategy development and execution of critical programs such as employee relations, benefits administration, leaves and worker’s comp administration, payroll liaison support, and data analysis for HR related trends. This position reports to the Chief People & Diversity Officer and is based on-site in San Jose, CA
Pay Range: Base Compensation is dependent upon role, experience, and skill set: Min- $86,295/yr Max- $143,825/yr
Primary Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders of the Holding company and its subsidiary:
- Support operational excellence and efficiency of the Human Capital function
- Help ensure all HR policies and implementation remain current with State and Federal regulations
- Coordinate various aspects of HR programs and work
- Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of organization-wide benefits programs that are inclusive of employees at all levels:
- Deliver both strategic and tactical support in relation to Benefits Administration
- Provide key instructive support to leaders and employees in relation to 401k Administration
- Serve as the subject matter expert in all areas of the benefits program
- Develop and institute effective, consistent, and streamlined administration processes:
- Ensure timely processing of worker’s comp matters and conduct follow up and follow through of required process steps
- Support applicable employee leave of absence or return to work administration
- Maintain impeccable records management to support key human capital programs
- Support leaders with people management functions in key areas of:
- Employee relations, experience and engagement
- Team building and positive work culture
- Act as the primary Payroll Liaison
- Conduct HR related analysis to identify trends in reference to departmental initiatives
- May interface with executives and board members
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- PHR/SPHR certification strongly desired
- A demonstrated record of success with 5+ years of Human Resources experience in a leadership role
- Strategic leader with a strong business acumen to connect Human Capital programs to business objectives
- Experience with leading and owning end-to-end Human Capital programs using change management tool & techniques
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience distilling complex qualitative and quantitative data and metrics
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to captivate the audience with clear and simple messaging
- Masterful at building relationships, and influencing executives and stakeholders all levels within an organization
- Impeccable integrity with an open and transparent leadership style
Compliance Responsibilities:
The employee is responsible for ensuring compliance with all aspects of job related laws and regulations and must maintain current compliance knowledge by attending compliance related training seminars and staff meetings and by reading pertinent compliance related materials.
Job related laws and regulations include, but are not limited to the following: Bank Secrecy Act (BSA); Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC); Vendor Management; Information and Data Security; and SEC regulations related to corporate governance and disclosure.
