We are looking for a talented AI/ML Engineer that is passionate about technology and who is motived to help drive our customers’ and company mission forward. This individual will be a key member of a team translating real-world needs into technical solutions. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, a quick learner, and able to balance simultaneous tasks while delivering quality results.
GENERAL DUTIES :
- Provide technical leadership and coordination of all aspects of the image and data processing and exploitation and AI/ML algorithms generation and implementation on a wide range of imaging sensors to include EO-IR, Hyperspectral, SAR, LIDAR and LLL imaging.
- Research and incorporate latest AIML advancements into lab efforts. Assess model architectures and strategies from vendors and academia.
- Improve our in-house AiTR baseline algorithm to be competitive. Including designing and implementing different multi-band fusion schemes.
- Perform vendor AiTR evaluations as the lab receives new vendor algorithms.
- Improve AiTR training and evaluation techniques and pipelines.
- Track and coordinate all required annual program certifications and training.
- Work with machine learning (ML) applications, developing models and software, familiarity with data structures, data and image analytics algorithms, computability, data complexity and computer architectures.
- Continue to form robust and fair training sets and sequestered test sets as needed.
- Analyze and trade various machine learning approaches, develop new algorithms tools, perform and manage end to end design and SW implementation and work with a team of various backgrounds and skills.
- Perform/support AI, ML, and/or AiTR research not strictly related to our programs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MS degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or applicable engineering or science field
- 5-10 years’ of experience designing, developing and implementing AI/ML algorithms to include 2D and 3D image mensuration and Overlay onto 3D Digital Maps, multispectral image fusion, Foveated smart imagery, scene change detection, facial intent, data labeling, semantic understanding and classification of dynamic scene and posing intent.
- Knowledge in Deep Learning, Classical ML, and Computer Vision.
- Knowledge of AiTR system components (e.g., metadata contextual information, real-time object tracking, human systems interface).
- Experience/expertise designing, developing and implementing NN (Neural Networks), CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks), SVM (Support Vector Machines).
- Experience in training, testing, and deploying ML models, especially for Computer Vision applications.
- Experience/expertise with ML libraries/tools (e.g., scikit-learn, Theano, H2O, TensorFlow, YOLO, Shogun)
- Experience/expertise with various programming/scripting languages and environments (e.g., C, C++, C#/.NET, Python, Anaconda, XML, Java, Open CV, SQL, Hadoop).
- Experience/expertise applying mathematic principles via scientific computing solutions (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, MatPlotLib, MATLAB).
- Experience leading technical teams and supervising highly technical staff.
