Job description

We're on the lookout for a dynamic Human Resources Director to join our team. This is a full-time role situated in our vibrant Human Resources Department. As a key player in our organization, you will be pivotal in providing comprehensive leadership and support on all HR matters, directly under the guidance of the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Key Responsibilities

Strategize and deploy HR initiatives that align with our organizational goals, covering a wide array of functions including policy development, talent acquisition, total rewards, learning and development, HRIS, safety, performance management, employee relations, compliance, diversity, equity & inclusion, and labor relations.
Lead, mentor, and develop our HR team to align departmental and organizational goals with individual performance.
Utilize your analytical prowess to assess, determine, and recommend outcomes for HR-related matters.
Foster outstanding working relationships across the organization to boost culture, satisfaction, morale, productivity, and retention.
Assist in managing collective bargaining agreements and navigating complex employee relations issues with a balanced and objective approach.
Utilize data and metrics to back recommendations and initiatives, maintaining a keen eye on legal compliance and risk reduction.
Champion HR and organizational projects, aiming for continuous improvement and innovation in HR services and processes.
Spearhead employment branding strategies and champion change management to support business objectives.
Develop and manage comprehensive training programs for employees and management, ensuring alignment with our organizational values and goals.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements:

A Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
At least five years of progressive experience in Human Resources and management.
Proficiency in HR systems and databases.
Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
A proven track record of developing HR metrics and delivering impactful presentations.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and display cultural competence and emotional intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications:

SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification.
Experience in change management and organizational development.
A background in negotiation and labor relations.
Proficiency in English and Spanish.
Demonstrated multicultural competence.

Physical and Working Conditions:

Typical office environment with standard physical demands.
Requires travel between campus locations and potentially in-state and national travel.
Role includes indoor duties with options for hybrid/flexible/remote work arrangements in accordance with our college policies.
