This position requires work on-site in Chantilly, VA.

Description: Lead VMware Infrastructure Automation SME
Background: Will be on a boutique team fully automating a self-contained VMWare on-premise cluster through scripts for patching, configuring, and sustaining the environment. Essentially, creating a self-sustaining environment with minimal manual activities.
Required Skills
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a Top Security clearance.
- VMWare Expertise for building and automating VMWare at the Hypervisor level as well as the platform level.
- Experience in automating tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Shell Scripting & Python for patching, enabling security and configuration through scripting and development for virtualized platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of implementing and maintaining VMware vSphere virtualization infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and vSAN.
- Experience with security hardening of systems (CIS benchmarks, STIGs)
- Strong skills with administration of SAN, storage, and Cisco UCS systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft, Linux and/or Unix operating systems, Active Directory, middleware technologies.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to perform troubleshooting and analysis with little supervision and escalate to management when needed.
- Knowledge of network and security monitoring technology, processes, and principles.
- Strong TCP/IP networking skills.
- Experience developing IT checklists, SOPs, guides, etc.
- Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain and update Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) - including the following products: Agent, Antivirus - AMCore system, Firewall, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), McAfee Drive Encryption (MDE), and Policy Auditor
- Maintain and upgrade Microsoft Network Domain Controllers (DCs), Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, DFS, etc.
- Perform continuous monitoring and update security patches and policies for Network Accreditation efforts.
- Perform workstation and server hardening/lockdowns, apply STIG GPO policies, and resolve security mitigations for ongoing Assessments and Authorization (A&A) Continuous Monitoring, and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
- Review vulnerability information as reported by Rapid 7, and identify appropriate mitigations, including test and validation of related changes.
