Job description
We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to join us as the Vice President of Information Technology and Operations. In this pivotal role, you will be at the heart of our operations, steering our IT and operational strategies to align with our broader organizational goals. Key Responsibilities
Act as the Chief Information Officer, leading the vision and strategic direction for our IT and Operations departments.
Spearhead major capital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of IT, Plant Facilities, and Security, maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.
Liaise with state committees and departments, representing our institution and fostering collaborative relationships.
Manage special projects, particularly in construction and facility development, to enhance our campus.
Monitor campus expenditures, ensuring fiscal responsibility and strategic allocation of resources.
Lead the recruitment, selection, and performance evaluation of professional and support staff, building a team that reflects our values of excellence and diversity.
Participate actively in the President's Council and various committees, contributing your expertise to institutional decision-making.
Assist in the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures that support our operational excellence.
Schedule Details:
Full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility for occasional evening and weekend work is appreciated.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves frequent standing, sitting, and movement both on-campus and off-site. It may also require occasional lifting of items weighing up to 10 pounds.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of our institution.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Information Technology, Business, Facilities Management, or a related field.
Significant leadership experience in a higher education environment.
Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, diversity, and inclusive excellence.
Exceptional leadership, managerial, technical, and interpersonal skills, underpinned by personal integrity.
Proven ability to develop and implement strategic growth and sustainability initiatives.
Proficiency in ERP systems (such as Ellucian Banner and Workday) and a thorough understanding of Plant Facilities and campus security.
Effective engagement with strategic planning processes and the ability to present complex information clearly to a variety of audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
Over ten years of supervisory experience, ideally with responsibilities across multiple divisions.
