Job description

The ideal Poke House candidate will:

Expectations & Responsibilities:


  1. Ability to handle conflict
  2. Ability to work a rotating schedule as needed
  3. Ability to cover shifts due to call-offs
  4. Ability to remain calm under pressure and stressful situations
  5. Make and publish schedules every week
  6. Conduct and send Weekly Reports to the Regional Manager regarding sales, labor, and progress of the store
  7. Oversee employee training, and, when necessary, termination of employees with the guidance of the Regional Manager.
  8. Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
  9. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
  10. Conduct product quality checks by taste testing and inspecting food to ensure the quality of food is consistent and up to standards
  11. Maintain a professional restaurant image such as proper staff presentation and appearance standards.
  12. Assist in vendor and inventory ordering of products.
  13. Ensure a positive guest experience.
  14. Assist Store Manager with completing employee quarterly performance evaluations
  15. Announce operational and procedural changes
  16. Assist Store Manager in conducting monthly store meetings

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of restaurant management experience(References will be requested)
  • At least 21 years of age (Assistant Manager)
  • Commit to working at least 5 days a week | Full Time (80 hours per pay period)
  • Be able to communicate in the primary language(s) of the work location
  • Manager Serv Safe certification(Within 90 days of employment)
  • Open and flexible availability (variable hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed)
  • Physical requirements: Long periods of standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 lbs)
