This position is funded by State Compensatory Education funds. Utilizing leadership, advocacy and collaboration the At Risk Counselor delivers academic intervention beyond the General Education classroom interventions to At-Risk students in both Synchronous and Asynchronous environments to reduce the disparity in academic performance on State assessment instrument administered under Subchapter B, Chapter 39 TEC in Math and Reading and to reduce the disparity in the rates of high school completion between students at risk of dropping out of school and all other LEA students. Promotes student success by providing preventive services and responding to identified needs through implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program that helps guide all learners in their academic success, personal and social development, and career and college planning and readiness.

This position offers a base salary of $51,040 plus the eligibility of a performance bonus.

This position is for an Immediate Start within School Year 23/24.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Certificates and Licenses: Counselor

Residency Requirements: This position is remote and strongly prefer residents of Texas . May consider residents of surrounding states (NM, OK, AR or LA). This position could include travel up to 20% of the time for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school.
