Job Description:
- Responsible for food purchasing, meal production, and timely meal service.
- Direct and supervise all dietary personnel including hiring/firing, orientation, training, work schedules, etc.
- Conducts employee performance reviews.
- Conduct daily kitchen inspections to ensure the foodservice production area is safe and sanitary.
- Inspects storage areas on a weekly basis for proper temperatures, cleanliness, and order.
- Properly document department activities and submit reports to administration as required.
- Work with the facility Administrator to meet budgetary guidelines.
- Participates in department head meetings.

Requirements:
- Certified Dietary Manager certification is required
- Strong understanding of Federal, State, and local rules and regulations regarding nursing home dietary requirements
- Prior foodservice experience in a long-term care setting is highly preferred
- Minimum one-year prior supervisory experience is preferred
