Position Overview:
The company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Antibody Discovery to lead an innovative team in the discovery and development of novel therapeutic antibodies. As the Director of Antibody Discovery, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the pipeline of cutting-edge biologics aimed at addressing unmet medical needs across various disease areas.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of scientists engaged in antibody discovery and optimization.
- Drive the design and implementation of state-of-the-art antibody discovery platforms and technologies.
- Oversee antibody screening, characterization, and lead selection processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams including bioinformatics, protein engineering, and translational research to advance projects from discovery through preclinical development.
- Provide strategic input into project prioritization, resource allocation, and decision-making processes.
- Foster a culture of scientific excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the Antibody Discovery team.
- Represent the company externally through presentations at scientific conferences, collaborations, and publications.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in antibody discovery methodologies including hybridoma, phage display, and/or single B cell technologies.
- Proven track record of successfully leading antibody discovery programs from target identification through lead optimization.
- Strong leadership and management skills with experience in building and leading high-performing scientific teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting with a focus on therapeutic antibody development is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
