The NC Governor's HBCU Program

The North Carolina Governor’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Internship Program , which began in 2015, was created to connect students matriculating at North Carolina’s HBCUs with major corporations and businesses in the private sector throughout the state.

 

T he program provides interns with an immersive professional experience that will increase their competitiveness in the job market. In turn, corporations and businesses are directly exposed to a diverse pool of high performing students with the ultimate goal of recruiting and retaining valuable talent within North Carolina. Studies show that seven out of 10 internships turn into full-time jobs. Please contact the career service office on each participating campus linked to confirm your eligibility.

 

The summer internships are paid, full-time positions for rising juniors and seniors who possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, are active in student organizations, and have the ability to communicate well.

Product Marketing  

Within the Sales Enablement, the Risk, Fraud and Compliance (RFC) Solutions product marketing team’s focus is to fully support the process of presenting SAS RFC solutions to market. This includes positioning and messaging, launching the solutions and ensuring our clients understand the capabilities and usage scenarios. The Product Marketing Intern will be involved in a variety of projects to support the go-to-market strategy and messaging for SAS RFC Solutions. Projects may include but would not be limited to: drafting content for marketing collateral or sales/channel enablement tools, conducting competitive research, developing product launch plans, creating content for social media, assisting with internal communications vehicles and providing support for division events

 

Program Management

Global Sales Enablement team is responsible for account team engagement, resource development, and program management. We are a team of sales strategists, content developers, and program experts who seek out customer challenges and find solutions that will increase awareness, demand, and preference for SAS’ offerings. Specifically, the team enables customer-facing roles in SAS and its partners to support our customers to make informed decisions throughout the buying journey.

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph.D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
