ART DIRECTOR POSITION SUMMARY

The Art Director will be a conceptual, big-picture thinker who is responsible for development of creative for E Creative and our clients. This candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the team to develop creative strategy and integrated campaigns that resonate with audiences, brand direction, print, design and websites. This role is ideal for someone who thrives off of working in a creative environment day-to-day and maintains a passion for design and typography.

As a leader on our team, the Art Director demonstrates strategic thinking, management, customer relations, troubleshooting and motivational skills. This person must be a great listener and advocate for what is best for the client and our team, all while balancing timelines and budgets. The Art Director must be responsive and flexible while not losing sight of the details. Must be committed to working in alignment with E Creative’s values and culture, and understand that you are a reflection of the company—a company built on years of positive and consistent relationships.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Art Director will work closely with our creative team and our clients to fulfill our clients’ needs. Typical tasks include:

• Oversee and guide high-quality creative execution for all digital, print, collateral, social, motion and broadcast across our clientele portfolio
• Drive best practices across all creative from concept to completion, leading creative strategy and ensuring success and ROI for our clients
• Direct the concept, design and execution of creative that meets client strategy and goals
• Create unique concepts and exceptional designs and concepts with supporting rationale
• Collaborate with the Chief Creative Officer, team, collaborators and clients to deliver thoughtful work
• Revise artwork and prepare final artwork for production/deployment
• Aide in the construction of mock ups for production
• Work in alignment with E Creative values
• Interact with our clients in ways that leave them feeling empowered, supported and confident in the fact that E Creative is an extension of their team
• Identify and magnify our client’s business purpose by listening and guiding discussions with professionalism, kindness and respect
• Motivate, inspire, lead and mentor colleagues and collaborators
• Work closely with project managers and vendors to ensure timely deliverables are in line with the client’s goals and budget
• Effectively support client presentations in collaboration with the creative team
• Offer creative solutions to in-house processes and practices that are proactive and promote efficiency within the team
• Research and stay up-to-date on trends, software, applications and technology that drive the industry and advise on implementation
• Anticipate problems that may impede a project to recommend and implement solutions
• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• High School diploma required
• Post-secondary education and/or Associate degree preferred in Marketing, Public Relations, or Graphic Arts
• Eight or more years of experience in digital, print, collateral, social, motion and broadcast
• Five or more years of customer service experience required; similar setting preferred
• Knowledge of social media platforms, website platform (WordPress), print production and design required
• Ability to communicate effectively with solid written and verbal skills
• Build rapport and maintain client relationships with internal and external clients
• Passionate about service, our mission, having FUN and being a team player are paramount
• Knowledge of:
  • Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required
  • Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects, FinalCut Pro) required
  • WordPress highly preferred
  • Keynote highly preferred
  • Harvest highly preferred
  • Basecamp highly preferred
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task several projects at one time in a fast-paced agency

SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS

• Requires flexibility in working extra hours or outside normal business hours as needed to meet the client deadlines
• On-site work with ability to work remotely occasionally as required (ex: inclement weather)
• Must be fully vaccinated and boosted

COMPENSATION

Salary range is $60,000 – $70,000 and will be based on relevant work experience and industry knowledge.
