Shipping and Receiving Associate
**$19 -$23 per hour DOE**
Luxfer Superform operates from Riverside, California (USA). We specialize in Super Plastic Forming of Aluminum, Titanium, and Magnesium alloys as a 1st Tier supplier to major OEMs. Established in California in 1985, Superform serves Customers in all the major markets including Aerospace.
Superform is seeking a driven candidate for its Shipping and Receiving Department in its busy Riverside Manufacturing Facility This position shall be responsible for activities in and around the shipping and receiving area. These responsibilities are to include activities relating to parts being shipped from the facility to customers or vendors, and the receiving of parts and supplies.
Main Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned to provide maximum flexibility for the company.
Shipping:
- Utilizing Quality Assurance procedures and all other requirements ensuring proper legible ID (including ink type and ID location) for all components.
- Effectively communicate with all operational personnel to meet Company and Customer requirements.
- Ensure individual parts are properly packed to protect all components from any shipping damage.
- Ensure all required documents, certifications, packing slips, and labels are properly located with the shipment per Customer and Company requirements.
- Distribute all documentation to appropriate locations/departments on time.
- Create bills of ladings (BOLs) & Schedule various carriers according to customer requirements
- Finished Goods Management - All parts that are completed shall be positively identified, along with their respective certification package, wrapped and boxed to protect them, and inventoried.
Receiving: - Verify quantity and condition of incoming parts/supplies ensuring all required paperwork is accurate and complete.
- Prepare parts for the next stage in the production process including but not limited to queuing parts for Quality Verification.
General:
- Daily Maintenance/Housekeeping of the work area.
- Maintenance of all required supplies for the area including determination of all packaging and shipping requirements for the operation.
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts, if required.
- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State, and Federal Regulations.
- Importantly, as Superform’s success relies on the productivity of our team and adherence to customer product schedules, an essential function of this position is the ability to arrive to work on time, as scheduled, in strict adherence to the Time and Attendance Rules Policy.
- Assist the Driver with loading and unloading.
- Back-up to Driver.
- Semi-monthly storm water walk.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a good driving record.
- 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 1-year experience as a driver
