The Life, Accident and Health team in Portland, ME is a fast-growing business unit who partner with Group Carriers, Stop-Loss Carriers, Stop-Loss MGUs, Regional HMOs, and Provider Organizations to provide strategic capital and risk management advisory support. How you'll make an impact

The Role

We are seeking a diligent, analytical Client Success Manager with a successful background in reinsurance brokerage, medical underwriting or consulting to work as a key member of the treaty team! This is a client-facing role in a setting that involves multi-stakeholder teamwork to drive value for the retention of existing accounts, as well as contribute to new business production and product innovations.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Nurture relationships with assigned client accounts and serve as a trusted advisor
• Evaluate client needs, goals, and obstacles to build strategic solutions and enhance client satisfaction and performance
• Serve as the lead point of contact for all client matters
• Devise growth strategies to increase revenue opportunities within your existing client accounts
• Create cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with the sales team to drive revenue growth, while forecasting and monitoring key account metrics
• Recognize “quick wins” and set appropriate meetings with partners to enhance sales
• Act as a mentor to nurture and support the skill development of junior associates within the client success team

About you

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 5 or more years of account management is required. Stop Loss Product/Underwriting knowledge strongly preferred
• Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Ability to influence and navigate complex situations with sophisticated and discerning buyers from the C-Suite
• Command of mathematical concepts, trend analysis, and familiarity with medical claims
• Strengths in practical problem-solving and possess the desire to innovate in a multi-disciplined, collaborative culture
• Proficient with: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS teams and Outlook. Power BI, and/or other analytics tools a plus.
• Preference for individuals who have prior managerial/direct reporting experience
• Ability to travel up to 20% for client and internal staff meetings
