Purpose of Job
Oversees the information technology infrastructure, applications, security, compliance, and support of NSNA, including Michigan, Ohio, and Mexico Operations. Provides technology vision, enables innovation, and understands the IT trends that can create business value. Oversees development, deployment and performance of enterprise standards and technology architecture, technology evaluation and transfer, and the IT security, cybersecurity, and compliance across North America. Manages strategic vendor and partner relationships. Extensive knowledge of IT, as well as possessing a background in general management and financial management.
Major Duties/Responsibilities

1. Creating, implentating and maintaining long term vision of entire NSNA IT department. Including but not limited to:
- Generates and executes long term IT business plan that aligns with NS corporate and local leaderships long term vision.
- Establishing and maintaining key performance indicators to drive the business.
- Responsible for developing, maintaining, and reporting entire NSNA IT SG&A budget, including capex and expense spending.
- Oversee and deploy ISO27001:2002 and VDA-TISAX standards
2. Infrastructure:
- Determines long-term enterprise-wide information technology needs from hardware and network requirements and develops overall strategy for systems to manage and protect data at NSNA.
3. Service Management:
- Maintaining and updating the companies IT services
- Ensures monitoring and testing of business continuance procedures, ensures response to system failures, and is proactive in building processes to minimize/eliminate downtime.
4. IT Security:
- Responsible for the evaluation, design, implementation and testing of latest risk management technology to protect NSNA.
- Understanding of latest security, training and evaluation and management of different vendors
- Responsible for IAM and ensures user authorization on system and software used by NSNA.
- Emphasized focus on cybersecurity infrastructure.
5. Technical support
- Responsible for NSNA help desk, ensuring IT tickets are responded to and closed in timely manner
6. Training and development of IT team and NSNA Employees:
- Maximizes the effectiveness of the overall team by creating a training and development plan on latest industry technologies for all employees.
- Develop and implement an NSNA training plan to support NSNA end users on IT policies, security and tech support.
Education, Experience and Knowledge
Required and/or preferred level of education, knowledge and skills that are necessary.
Education - Bachelor’s Degree required. Computer Science or Engineering preferred
- Master’s Degree in Information Systems/Management preferred
- Network – CCNA or equivalent preferred
- Systems – MCSE or equivalent preferred
- CompTIA Security+ Certification preferred
Related Experience - Minimum 7 years of strong management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams or working with multiple teams
- Minimum of 10 years of IT and business/industry work experience, including network and systems design and deployment, systems lifecycle management and infrastructure planning and operations
- Cloud Architecture and Engineering preferred; Virtual Private Cloud experience beneficial
- Strong understanding of contractual terms and experience in contractual processes (i.e. MSA, RFP, SOW)
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and follow SLAs
- Proven background of developing technical resources
- Strong research and analytical skills and full technical knowledge of all phases of systems analysis
- Project management skills; ability to lead multiple concurrent projects using standard project methodology
- IT financial forecasting and management experience
- Clear understanding and direction with J-SOX compliance requirements
- Experience with automotive supplier environment and requirements preferred
- Experience demonstrating effective leadership, directly or in-directly, for multi- disciplinary teams is required.
- 5+ years’ experience in automotive industry preferred

Additional Information
Work Hours
Monday-Friday, 8 am – 5pm. Off-hours as needed.
Travel Requirements 10 % international and/or domestic.
If domestic travel is necessary, valid drivers’ license is required.
If international travel is necessary, valid passport is required.
