Job description
Famous 4th Street Cookie Company Cookie Packager/Decorator
- Fulfill orders for E-commerce. Package cookies in appropriate boxes, trays, or containers. Prepare boxes for shipping.
- E-Commerce: includes daily orders from Woo Commerce, Goldbelly, Amazon and DiBruno Brothers
- Other: Prepare any special events orders and donations
- Ensure station and refrigerator is fully stocked with appropriate materials including outer shipping boxing, cookie dough, packaging materials, etc.
- Rotate and prioritize aging cookie dough. Be mindful of production dates on box
- Meet daily pickup deadlines for packages (Couriers, Pick-ups, UPS and FedEx Groud and Express)
- Decorate cookie cakes with icing.
- Mix cookie cake icing and store properly when needed.
- Use ladle to coat Black & White and Dipped Cookies with melted fudge and Macaroons with Chocolate. Keep fudge container clean and rotate fudge accordingly. Properly store and heat chocolate and fudge.
- Package cookies in appropriate boxes, trays, or containers. Add ribbons and gift tags to appropriate boxes.
- Conduct periodic quality checks of finished products.
- Record waste on appropriate forms. Complete batch and relevant lot numbers on appropriate forms if required.
- Maintain work station with appropriate materials including boxing, packaging and cookie dough.
- Daily Clean and Sanitize: Tables, Refrigerators and Floors
- Weekly Clean: Designated trays, fudge containers, chocolate container and under table storage
- Maintain supplies of marketing materials, bows, cards, sugars, and other toppings. Order ribbons, gift tags, stickers, Goldbelly inserts, e-commerce inserts when needed.
- Prepare for next day orders and retail.
- Assist with baking trainings
- Work with Famous Baker/Consultant Famous Bakery Manager on product Development. R&D
- E-Commerce Bakery re-design. Work with management on improving workflow, reducing waste, organizing bakery and increasing efficiencies.
Skills and Qualifications
• Prior bakery experience is required.
• Basic understanding of measurements, accuracy, and use of scales is necessary.
• Ability to multitask and produce in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be team oriented and ready to request help when needed.
