With your strong Quality Engineer background, as a Supplier Quality Engineer within our brand new WM, America Manufacturing Inc. site, you have robust investigation experience and exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills Accordingly, the Supplier Quality Engineer is highly supplier-focused, requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) to manage supplier quality assurance responsibilities and ensure compliance across and at all levels of the organization on major programs from design through production stages.
As an integral part of our success, you will initially be focused on:
- Driving improvement and corrective action in the quality of components sourced from outside suppliers.
- Monitoring supplier performance to drive supplier corrective action, addressing manufacturing yield issues and field failures.
- Internal: Having informational contact and Interfaces with various production, engineering and quality personnel as part of investigation of material-related issues at receiving inspection or in manufacturing.
- Interfacing with Project Managers on project status, test procedures, product reliability issues and test results.
- External: Interacting with various vendors relating to material issues and investigation and remediation of those issues.
- Working under general supervision, validates and evaluates data, analyzes cause of failures, suggests remedies and writes up results.
- Work requires application of theoretical principles and creative/analytical techniques.
- Applying engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems.
- Exercising technical judgment in planning, organizing, performing, coordinating and/or directing engineering work.
- Remaining abreast of and consults on technical advancements and industry specifications/standards.
- Identifying and routinely using the most effective, cost efficient and best practices to execute processes; continually evaluating their effectiveness and appropriateness.
What you'll be doing :
- Providing oversight and advisory support to all areas of operations on quality and compliance issues.
- Supporting in the development and fostering of a broad quality community across Supply, Sales, Product and Design functions.
- Contributing to WMFTS-wide Quality and Compliance projects as and when required.
- Engaging with all parts of the business to effectively embed the Company values.
- Representing WM, America Manufacturing Inc. and WMFTS at internal and external events, conference and meetings, where appropriate.
- Understanding that the effective implementation of Strategy25 is fundamental to the future success of WMFTS and apply a 'transformational' mind-set at all times. You do not settle for 'average' deliverable.
- Ensuring the integrity and appropriateness of all Quality and Compliance deliverable.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Preferably experienced in medical devices or other regulated industries.
- Strong background in conducting CAPAs, Investigations, and formal Root Cause Analysis.
- Quality Engineer backgrounds with robust investigation experience will also be considered.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the medical device or regulated industries is a plus.
