Contract role
Los Angeles, CA, Hybrid: 4 days a week onsite
We are seeking a highly skilled Python developer to implement and manage our machine learning (ML) infrastructure and processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a cohesive and efficient data science workflow that aligns with the fast and agile development of ML projects.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and DevOps teams to develop, deploy, and monitor ML models.
Develop and contribute to MLOps procedures and best practices.
Design and implement scalable and reliable ML infrastructure, including but not limited to data pipelines, model training, model deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring systems.
Automate and streamline model deployment, maintenance, and monitoring processes.
Continuously monitor ML models to ensure their accuracy and effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure data quality for ML models by establishing data validation and data quality checks.
Requirements:
Proven experience designing, building, and deploying machine learning models in a
production environment
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch)
Familiarity with Cloud infrastructures (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
Strong knowledge of DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working with distributed and scalable data systems like Spark
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Education:
Master degree(s) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a relevant field.
Nice to have:
Experience in digital media industry
Experience building end-to-end products using Linux, EC2, EMR, Serverless AWS Lambda, Elastic Load Balancers, Bastion Hosts, NAT, etc.
