Department Title: Undergrad Intern - FT Innovations Location: This position is based in Franklin Templeton San Ramon office. Please note this internship will be on a hybrid basis, with 3 days a week in the office.

Our division brings new capabilities to market & infuses them within the company. We lead strategic investments across FT's fintech portfolio & business incubation for transforming concepts into commercially viable solutions.

- In this group you will get exposure to a broad range of internal departments as well as external, cutting edge, technology start-ups around the globe
- You will see firsthand how fintech investment decisions are made
Team Culture: We are an externally facing, fintech-focused area of the firm. We collaborate with our internal partners to identify needs & new opportunities for FT & then tap into our Fintech network to develop new & disruptive solutions that address those needs.
Examples of key internal partners - Global Distribution, Investment Management, Digital Assets, AI Research, D2C, etc.
Existing FT Business Incubators - San Mateo & Singapore
By the end of your internship, an intern can expect to learn: - The functions of a corporate venture capital group
- How a business incubator works
- How we evaluate fintechs for possible investment
- Involvement in FT's D2C offering
Key Responsibilities can Include: - Fintech onboarding support
- Market research & analysis of fintech value & offering including product, operations & financial components
- Defining & outlining the engagement model between the FT Innovations group & our internal partners across FT
- Testing & feedback of our D2C solution
Ideal Qualifications: - A passionate, creative, innovative self-starter & tech enthusiast
- Working towards a degree or related experience within a similar industry and/or specialty - technology, finance, computer science, design thinking, AI, etc.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
- Understanding of the fintech / financial industry- it's key players as well as current trends, particularly in digital wealth

Compensation Range: This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 38 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $31 USD per hour, depending on location, and year in school. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
