Job Summary
Achieve the Sales and EBITDA for Global Pet Care and Global Home Care businesses in Export Markets (Central America, Caribbean, and South Cone). Plan, direct, coordinate and execute the sales activities to assure sales & profit goals. Responsible for developing and implementing export strategies to drive business growth in Latin America, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and fostering strong relationships with distributors, partners, and key stakeholders.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for Top Line (ILC and NS) and Bottom Line (GP, OPEX, EBITDA) results for Latin America Export Markets (Central America, Caribbean, and South Cone).
- Sales and Business Development:
- Develop, and manage customers & partnerships in assigned regions to build distribution network through key accounts and distribution channels
- Develop an annual business plan by account with monthly reviews to ensure attainment of company’s sales goals. Close commercial agreements with core customers.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in the region
- Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Coordinate all required marketing & sales program for assigned territory and maintain required info related competitor: about products and competitive info.
- Develop and implement effective export strategies tailored to each market, considering cultural, economic, and regulatory factors.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities, trends, and challenges
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and trade laws in Latin American countries.
- Work closely with regulatory team, regulatory agencies and legal teams to navigate and resolve any compliance issues.
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end logistics and supply chain processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and other partners in Latin American Export markets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Forecasting and Planning:
- Design budget for investments & expenditures and plan required trade shows considering country & customer specifications preparing strategies for all customers to facilitate required market presence.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and performance reports for Latin American Export markets.
- Provide regular updates LATAM Team on market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various internal departments, including marketing, finance, and product development, to ensure a cohesive and effective export strategy.
- Training and Development:
- Train, educate and develop internal teams on market dynamics, and export-related processes in Latin America.
Education and Experience Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in business management with at least 10 years of experience in commercial management is essential for the job of a Export Manager.
- Previous experience in the Latin American markets, having prior sales experience in-country operations, being involved in developing markets and it´s required a high level of negotiation skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Experience in setting up and building a brand; and proven experience in managing an established premium brand.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communicational, and analytical skills.
- Solid PC skills including understanding of commercial software systems and high understanding of available data; Required: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel .
- Proven leadership and ability to drive and develop commercial teams.
