Job description
How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:
To provide support to Legal Accounts Officer and Legal Accounts Manager in the process of securing payment through legal action.
- Researches debtor's accounts via computer and hard files to qualify and combine accounts for legal action.
- Prepares legal documents sufficient to obtain judgments, garnishments, interrogatories, or fieri facias for assigned attorney.
- Works with court officials to arrange court appearances
- Conducts negotiations with debtors and determines the acceptability of the payment arrangements.
- Conducts location and financial investigations to locate missing debtors and to qualify uncooperative debtor accounts for garnishment.
- Determines whether or not to file garnishment based on information gathered by the department.
- Maintains and accurate filing system and efficient calendar system.
- Specializes in specific support functions such as judgments, garnishments, research, or skip tracing to be determined and/or changed by the supervisor.
- Determines whether or not to file suit based on information gathered by the department.
What We Require:
Education: Associate degree in related discipline required or four (4) years combined experience and education required.
Experience: Minimum two years general office experience required. Prefer computer experience with Word, and Windows programs.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Must have data entry and word processing skills. Must possess good organizational and analytical skills in order to determine appropriate action to be taken on individual accounts and maintain a high level of productivity. Knowledge and experience working with the civil court system is preferred upon hiring.
