Job description

As we grow our service area in the Pacific Northwest, we are seeking an Home Infusion Pharmacy Technician to join our team of experts in Tigard, Oregon.

About Emerging Health

Emerging Health is a pharmacy and infusion center committed to providing patients exceptional experiences and healthcare solutions. We offer private infusion suites at our office in SW Portland, Oregon. Our second office in Eugene will open early 2024 and is allowing us to expand our reach of care to more communities along the coast, in the Willamette Valley and in Southern Oregon. Our home infusion services provide patients the option of receiving care from the comfort of their home.

We are recruiting a Home Infusion Pharmacy Technician to join our team of health care professionals. As a Home Infusion Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and assist with the preparation, packing and delivery of products and services. To assist the pharmacist with filling orders received by the pharmacy.

Job type: Full-time

Benefits: Position responsibilities:
  1. Represent the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients.
  2. Dispense and package medications under the direction of the on-duty pharmacist.
  3. Ensure compliance with all licensure and federal, state, and local laws and regulations; observe the pharmacys policies on best practices.
  4. Assist in resolving patient concerns and complaints.
  5. Assume on-call responsibilities in accordance with pharmacy guidelines.
  6. Report product incidents as required in accordance with pharmacy policy.
  7. Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
  8. Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
  9. Participate in the pharmacys Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.
  10. Participate in pharmacy committees when requested.
  11. Participate in in-service education programs provided by the pharmacy.
  12. Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities and certification requirements.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by Pharmacist.
Required skills:
  1. Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
  2. Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions.
  3. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
  4. Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Oregon
  5. Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations.
  6. Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets and use of the internet, as well as word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.
