Finance Consultant Technology Finance
Job Description: Highly analytic analyst with strong data management, data modeling, report building
Accountabilities
This position is responsible for Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis for the Enterprise Technology & Experience (ETX) organization. The candidate will apply strategic thought leadership to design ETX-wide reporting and supporting processes, governance routines, and training & communications to ensure accurate annual and monthly financial forecasting in company s enterprise tools of Anaplan (cost center) and CA PPM Cloud (project). The candidate will work collaboratively across both the ETX and Finance organizations to understand accountability measures and how best to leverage in monthly reporting and financial planning activities.
The candidate will also interact with the Technology Business Management process owner to ensure a clear understanding of process changes and the impact to data in the Apptio tool. Other enterprise tools to be leveraged in this role are Apptio, Ariba, SAP, and Workday. Expense types include internal & external labor, third-party fixed fee contracts, software & hardware licenses and fees, and training & travel. Effective interpersonal and communications skills are essential to operating in a fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities
Preparing high quality financial analysis and information to influence important decisions. This includes preparing quarterly reviews of spend versus plan and forecast and contributing to the development of robust CBAs.
Develop a monthly reporting package from multiple data sources, including definition and sourcing of KPIs, building a labor database for reporting and analysis
Support Technology Business Management (TBM) processes to ensure data accuracy, standardization and automation, reporting and analysis
Skills:
Strong financial acumen, prior IT Finance strongly preferred
Intimate knowledge of Resource & Financial management practices in a mature IT organization (budget, actuals, variance analysis and mitigation)
Excellent communication and listening skills, including the ability to convey complex information in readily understandable terms.
Drives continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond own scope of responsibility
Demonstrated experience with creative problem-solving and process improvement
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple deliverables
Prior use of Anaplan, Apptio, CA PPM Cloud, Workday, Ariba, SAP systems (or similar), relative to financial planning and/or IT project financials is a plus
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
Education:
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field - required
