Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled Bridge Department Project Manager to join our team at a leading engineering firm in Indiana. This position offers the flexibility to work from our offices in Indianapolis, Jeffersonville, Lafayette, Fort Wayne, or Merrillville.

As a Bridge Department Project Manager, you will collaborate with our dynamic Indianapolis bridge team to spearhead the development and execution of state and locally funded bridge projects across Indiana. Your role will involve engaging with clients to oversee both replacement and rehabilitation projects of varying scales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate on defining project scope, schedules, and budgets for new initiatives.
Provide guidance and mentorship to emerging engineers and CAD designers.
Coordinate seamlessly with support departments and sub-consultants to ensure comprehensive project delivery.
Contribute to the development of proposals for local and state projects.
Review and approve design calculations, as well as assess and develop bridge replacement and rehabilitation plans for multiple projects concurrently.
Conduct productive meetings with existing and prospective clients to discuss project requirements and recommendations.
Conduct on-site inspections of existing bridges, offering expert insights and recommendations for repairs or replacement structures.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in bridge or transportation projects.
Possession of an Indiana PE license or eligibility to obtain one within 6 months.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, whether remotely or in-office, while fostering collaboration with team members.
Occasional on-site inspections requiring moderate physical exertion to evaluate existing bridges.
Periodic travel within the state of Indiana for meetings or on-site inspections.
Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours as needed for meetings.

Salary: $ 57,000.00 138,000.00 Per Year
