Accounting Assistant

Position Summary:
The Accounting Assistant performs general office activities within the accounting department and provides external & internal customer service support.
Position Requirements:
- Generate customer sales orders in accounting software, NetSuite.
- Process customer payments and contact customers with past due invoices.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts & other miscellaneous accounting functions.
- Provides administrative support to include maintaining schedule/calendar, screening telephone communications, routing telephone calls, greeting and directing visitors, and dealing with administrative problems and inquiries.
- Enter Vendor invoices into the Company's accounting software for payment.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Excellent organizational abilities. Ability to prioritize projects, handle a multitude of activities simultaneously, problem solve, pay thorough attention to detail is essential
- Understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to gain an understanding, embrace, and use the Company's internal databases, platforms, and associated technologies
- Demonstrated capacity to embrace change. Ability to manage work under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. NetSuite experience a PLUS.
