Job description
Position Title: Cook
Reports To: Executive Chef / Sous Chef / Lead Cook
Below are the Core Responsibilities that make up the priority functions and most important responsibilities of this position. Following the Core Responsibilities is a Physical and Safety Requirements category that is also expected of all positions within Belle Haven Country Club.
Job Function
Job functions describe the substance and most important responsibilities of the job.
1. Administration
· Open or close kitchen in absence of Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Lead Cook.
· Prepare kitchen operations for daily and routine functions and operations
· Adhere to all prepared written recipes for all menu items.
· Report out of stock items to the Executive Chef.
· Prepare all sauces and all dishes for breakfast and lunch menus.
· Help set-up restaurant and employee cafeteria food items and menu offerings.
· Prepare all menu and featured items under the Executive Chef's direction.
· Supervise and assist dishwashers and pantry personnel.
· Perform dinner set-up duties according to the Prep List schedule.
· Maintain health and sanitation standards.
2. Support
- Must have a knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with members, guests, associates, and vendors.
- Ability to scrupulously follow all Belle Haven Country Club policies and procedures.
- Attend required meetings.
- May perform other duties as required and outlined by Executive Chef

Physical and Safety Requirements
5. These are required of every associate.
- Minimum lifting of 30 pounds.
- Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
- Hearing, writing, typing.
- Minimum pulling of 30 pounds.
- Other duties or position may be assigned.
Additional responsibilities specific to you are:
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all club operations, departments and functions.
- Must have a knowledge of applicable OSHA, CDC and Federal, State, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
- High school education and relevant training and experience preferred, 3 years background.
- SafeServe, Food Preparation and Culinary Certifications training required
- CPR training and first aid training preferred.
- Additional language ability preferred.
