Job Purpose

Dana Global Product Cybersecurity is looking for an experienced Product Cybersecurity Engineering Manager to lead a team of Product Cybersecurity engineers who define, development, implement, and validate cybersecurity solutions on Dana’s products. This Engineering Manager must have a strong technical background in product cybersecurity and be an experienced leader in leading people, programs, and projects. This Engineering Manager will lead the Product Cybersecurity engineers to challenge the status quo and further strengthen Dana’s Product Cybersecurity posture. This role will report to the Global Head of Product Cybersecurity at Dana. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Manage a team of cybersecurity development engineers, cybersecurity validation engineers, cybersecurity system engineers, and program managers. 
• Coach, build, develop, recruit cybersecurity professionals 
• Set goals and review performance for team members
• Propose, request and manage budget 
• Align team objectives and with other cybersecurity teams, identify synergies and work with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals 
• Apply secure development lifecycle and other industry best practices (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434) in product development 
• Able to resolve issues and challenges and promote a team environment to achieve team success 
• Define product cybersecurity strategies, obtain buy-ins from leadership and operationalize the approved strategies 
• Provide cybersecurity training to Dana team members, cultivate and promote product cybersecurity culture
• Support cybersecurity process creation and improvements 
• Collaborate with IT, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Legal, etc. organizations on cybersecurity-related topics, e.g., reviewing commercial contracts and agreements, etc. 
• Maintain technical savvy and contribute certain bandwidth to working on various technical aspects of product cybersecurity where needed, when needed 


Education and Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related fields
• Advanced degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration or other related fields preferred 
• 10 years of cybersecurity experience in automotive, aviation, cyber-physical systems, embedded system, SW engineering, semiconductor industry
• 5+ years of management experience highly desired 
• Must have technical leadership skills and people leadership skills 
• Experience in secure software development lifecycle highly desired
• Agile development, Jira, DevSecOps highly desired
• HSM, SHE, TPM, TrustZone, etc. hardware security solutions highly desired
• Experience in PKI, KMS, code signing, secure boot, secure diagnostics, secure access, ECU hardening, OS security, encryption, authentication, cryptography highly desired 
• Thorough understanding of ISO/SAE 21434, UNR155/156, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ASPICE cybersecurity highly desired 
• Experience in automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, IP, etc.) and automotive microcontroller architectures highly desired
