CANNABIS CEO

Viridian Staffings Client is looking for a driven, experienced, Cannabis, C-Level Executive to become the Chief Executive Officer for a fast growing vertically integrated cannabis operation in Massachusetts.

 

Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing () is the Original staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry.

 

As Chief Executive Officer you will provide the leadership, management and strategic vision necessary to ensure the overall success of the company. You should have an entrepreneurial spirit, but have also been a C-Level Executive at a vertically integrated Cannabis company. You should have experience wearing many hats and providing hands on leadership across several different business functions including, but not limited to the following: ensuring the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, people systems in place to effectively grow the organization, finance, sales & marketing, cultivation, retail, manufacturing, and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. If you have 18+ years of Operational experience and 5+ years of people management experience, then this could be the right opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

● Provide daily leadership and management to ensure our Client is living the companys core values and company

mission

● Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and

business goals and objectives

● Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies

and processes

● Maintain a safe, responsible, and high-performance work environment

● Work with the Production Leadership to take responsibility for every input, factor, and variable of the production process from start-to-finish to ensure that operations are safe, effective, well planned, and well organized.

● Ensure everyone knows and lives the companys overall mission, and how they specifically contribute

● Hold everyone on the Leadership team (especially yourself) accountable for results and performance targets.

● Effectively allocate resources, including people and financial, to be successful.

● Communicate effectively with all members of the Leadership team to ensure all departments of the company work together in a seamless and collaborative way.

● Meet the needs of all stakeholders including employees, customers, investors, the community, and the law.

● Make sure the Leadership Team has the tools, resources, and support they need to effectively manage their divisions.

● Ensure the Leadership team members are successfully supporting and managing their divisions

● Collaborate with the Leadership Team to ensure accurate production forecasts, inventory levels, sales projections, etc.

● Work with the Business Development team to ensure sales and inventory match up effectively

 

Qualifications:

● Proven experience as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer or other relevant position for a regulated vertically integrated Cannabis company

Preferred:

● BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus

● At least 8 years of operational management experience in manufacturing environment

● At least 5 years in a senior management role

● Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis

● Skilled at organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource

development, and strategic planning

● Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.

● Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission.

● Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.

● Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

● Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills

● Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving

● Willingness to master Lean Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement methods to ensure the production process is exceptionally efficient and effective.

● Knowledge in growing, harvesting, and processing cannabis is a plus
