Brown & Brown is seeking a Sales Leader for our team in Indianapolis, IN!
The Sales Leader is responsible for increasing new business sales and improving renewal retention. As a department leader, the Sales Leader advises and serves as a member of the leadership team in the development and execution of short-term and long-term plans and budgets based on agency goals, acquisitions, strategic planning, and growth objectives. The Sales Leader oversees that producers ensure our customers' business plan objectives are supported by their insurance programs. In addition, this role implements consistent policies, workflows, and processes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Hire, assist and monitor sales team, Producers, by evaluating progress, coaching, and mentoring with an unwavering commitment to revenue growth.
Responsible for developing leads and growing personal book of business.
Develop and implement business strategies in collaboration with PCL and manage strategic relationships with third parties.
Pursue cross-selling opportunities with the PCL, Marketing Department Leader, and other members of the leadership team.
Manage the business development team and oversee the Producer-in-Training (PIT) and Intern program while providing feedback to foster performance growth with the use of measurable goals.
Monitor and advise in the creation of Producer sales plans and assist with Producer renewal strategies.
Conduct, organize, and improve sales team meetings.
Foster and seek new client relationships through all means of communications such as through calls, personal meetings, seminars, etc.
Maintain relations with carrier personnel.
Keep current on marketplace changes and inform clients and team.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor's Degree or higher
5+ years of insurance experience: Property & Casualty or Employee Benefits.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of property & casualty or employee benefits coverage, current legislation, rules, laws, and other regulations.
Detailed knowledge of CRM, CRM use, and sales and marketing uses of CRM
Effective leadership and mentorship skills
Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.
