Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Grade 3/4 Classroom Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering our instructional program in alignment with our school's mission, policies, and practices, while providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for our students.

Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging instructional programs that reflect our school's standards and benchmarks, aligned with the Massachusetts Common Core curriculum.
Utilize technology effectively for remote learning during hybrid or full remote learning scenarios.
Utilize platforms such as Schoology for lesson planning, resource sharing, and grade recording.
Manage classroom organization to optimize instructional time, maintain consistent discipline practices, and integrate support and enrichment curriculum instruction.
Complete all necessary documentation, including lesson plans, student portfolios, assessments, and attendance records.
Provide supervision and guidance to assigned paraprofessionals, delegating tasks and responsibilities accordingly.
Foster strong communication with parents to enhance student achievement and maintain a cooperative family partnership.
Support the school's dual language goals.
Participate in school-based professional learning activities, innovations, and technology advancements.
Commit to personal and professional development through ongoing training and adherence to an approved professional development plan.
Attend all required meetings and professional development sessions outside of regular school hours.
Experience/Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education or relevant content subject area/grade level.
Massachusetts license in the applicable grade level.
SEI endorsed or willingness to obtain SEI endorsement within the first year.
Preferred: Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience.
Strong commitment to education reform initiatives, particularly focused on raising educational equity for low-income and linguistic minority students.
Experience teaching urban students, especially those of Hispanic backgrounds, is preferred.
Alignment with the specific mission and goals of our school.
Ability to work independently as a classroom leader and collaboratively as a member of the grade-level staff and school community.
Proficiency in various programs, applications, and management systems.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
