Job Purpose
The Services Consultant provides a differential marketing advantage for AkzoNobel by delivering business development services to AkzoNobel Acoat Selected customers. The Services Consultant supports the sales team by conducting business reviews and providing consultative services to Acoat customers and distributors. They also provide both financial and operational analysis and recommendations where appropriate. The Services Consultant manages the implementation of all Acoat program activities for an assigned area, while contributing to sales and profit target achievements.
Territory: Western US (Denver, Salt Lake City residence preferred)
Job Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and online consulting services across a broad spectrum of functional areas including business finance and accounting methods, marketing, human resources, production and leadership development.
- Facilitate Regional and National Acoat Performance Group meetings.
- Provide classroom and/or online training to AkzoNobel’s customers on Acoat selected curriculum. In addition, participate in the development and updating of Acoat classes on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for Services participation in selling and implementing AkzoNobel’s patented production tool, Carbeat.
- Assist in the sales process by providing Acoat services capabilities.
- Responsible for Services participation in the Mutual Action Plan and communicating those activities with Sales, Distribution and Collision Centers.
- Supervises performance versus plan objectives and recommends strategies to correct deficiencies by monitoring comparison results to increase the productivity of the Collision Center or Distributor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of knowledge in the collision business required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Microsoft office experience required
- Power BI experience preferred
- Must possess a high level of business, accounting and financial analysis skills.
- Possess a working knowledge of Process Centered Environments, including Lean, 5s, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints and how they apply to the collision centers and distributors
- Must be based in the West, extensive travel required (at minimum 50%)
