Consider joining our team as a Survey or Civil Engineering internship:

A Survey Intern with HEI will be involved with practical on-the-job projects, spending the majority of time working with outdoor surveying and/or construction phase activities.

Job Description

As a Survey or Civil Engineer intern, responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

• Operate electronic survey instruments such as GPS and Total Station.
• Mark points of measurement with elevation, station number, or other identifying mark.
• Travel with survey crew to different civil engineering project sites around town.
• Place stakes at designated points and drive them into ground at specified elevation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a two-year civil survey technician program, Civil Engineering program or related field. 
• Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD are preferred.
• Able to work extended periods of time in outdoor conditions.
• Above average math and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and availability for overnight travel.
