NUVIA has several exciting positions available across the UK for Health Physics Package Managers.
As a Health Physics Package Manager, you will be responsible for the management of teams of operational Health Physics resources at Client locations across the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) organisations within the UK. Ensuring that resources are utilised to meet the Client requirements efficiently and safely. The role will involve overseeing the maintenance of quality and training of existing resources as well as new trainees across several locations. You will have regular interaction with our Clients’ at all levels as well as the Health Physics Management Team and will be required to deliver the contract requirements. This newly created role will suit someone who has supervisory experience, excels at communicating at all levels and is looking to develop their career in an expanding organisation.
Main Purpose of Job:
· Management of operational HP resources for Clients
· To ensure that HP resources are utilised to meet Client requirements efficiently and safely
· Ensure the provision of a team of HP Surveyors to provide most effective high-quality support to Clients with maximum efficiency
· Maintenance of SQEP
· Progresses trainees across the business line
Position in Organisation:
· Reporting to the Health Physics NDA Operations Manager
· Responsible for the identification of required recruitment of trainees and SQEP resources, allocation of resources and prioritisation of where resources are deployed within the business package.
· Provide guidance for HP site management personnel (site managers, supervisors or site liaison officers) and HP staff at sites.
· Liaise between Site Managers/Supervisors and other Package Managers to ensure prompt and efficient response to work requests including utilisation across sites.
· Liaise with Radiation Protection Advisers/Approved Dosimetry Service/Health & Safety to ensure safe working environment and practices at all times.
Key Accountabilities:
· Resource Management – Recruitment identification, training, and deployment
· Line Manager – staff performance appraisals
· Liaison and prioritisation with Client management – health physics and contract
· Ensuring compliance with H&S and appropriate systems
Delegated and Financial Authority:
· Disciplinary role (in conjunction with the Site Managers and Supervisors Managers
· Matching a set workforce to meet Customer requirements
Skills Required:
Essential:
· At least 3 years’ Supervisor experience
· Must have a sound basic education
· Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Standard MS Office computer skills
· Full driving licence

· NVQ assessor qualification (or willing to work towards this)
