What we're looking for in a Camp Supervisor

To thrive in the role of Camp Group Supervisor, certain skills and qualifications are essential for success. You will need to possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a focus on early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or a related field. Alternatively, an associate's degree coupled with relevant coursework and years of experience in working with children can also be considered. Obtaining criminal child abuse and FBI clearances are necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of the campers.

In addition to the educational requirements, you should have a deep understanding of youth development principles and the ability to create engaging and purposeful programming. Strong leadership skills are vital as you will guide and mentor camp staff, encouraging their growth and professional development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for building positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
