Job Description
Job Title: Development/Construction Intern
Job Location: 17725 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77094
Job Overview:
We are currently preparing for our 2024 summer internship season.
This entry level opportunity will serve in our Construction team. They will assist the team in the day to day management of automotive repair facility construction projects. This will include maintaining documentation and collaborating with vendors, on-site construction managers and suppliers to solve challenges and ensure project milestones are met.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in Project Planning:
- Collaborate with the construction team in the planning, management, and execution of construction projects for new automotive repair facilities.
- Work closely with the construction team to understand project specifications and construction methods.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project communications. Provide regular updates on progress, issues, and delays to the construction team.
- Problem-Solving:
- Assist in identifying and resolving construction-related challenges by proposing effective solutions in collaboration with the construction team.
- Blueprint Review:
- Assist in reviewing and interpreting construction blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate implementation of design plans.
- Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, order materials, and ensure timely delivery to meet project milestones.
- On-Site Coordination:
- Work closely with on-site construction managers to coordinate and support daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.

- Strong understanding of construction principles, processes, and materials.
- Experience in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and specifications.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and any construction-related software.
