Job Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Deposit Operations Manager directs the delivery of services from deposit operations to all areas of the credit union to serve all members, achieve organizational sales goals, participate in development and implementation of strategic plans, and ensures TCU is in compliance with all related regulations. The Deposit Operations Manager will participate in the general management of the organization as a member of the management team. All responsibilities are to be performed in compliance with TCU standard operating procedures, TCU policies, applicable state and Federal regulations and applicable state and federal law, as well as according to TCU's Core Values and Performance Standards.

Essential Responsibilities

Manage Deposit Operations Staff and Call Center.

Direct and monitor deposit operations activities to insure they meet service standards and TCU goals and objectives.

Monitor product delivery quality and work with other departments to resolve issues

Remain current on deposit operations concepts, practices, and procedures in order to ensure both technical and functional expertise can be provided for system utilization and problem resolution.

Stay up-to-date on related legal and regulatory requirements within the industry and ensures to adapt internal policies and procedures to those requirements; communicating the updates to all appropriate parties.

Is the escalation point for member support issues.

Provide leadership, motivation, mentoring and coaching of team members.

Recommend training and development activities for staff and self.

Develop, implement, and maintain efficient and accurate operational policies and procedures.

Work with Core vendors to test and validate system and application upgrades.

Maintain an up-to-date, detailed department procedures manual, identify, and implement workflow best practices and procedures.

Ensure the organization complies with all Federal and State statues, regulations, and directives associated with branch and deposit operations including, BSA, OFAC, Regulations AA, B, D, E, Z, CC, and DD.

Prepare and assist in all internal and external audits as well as regulatory exams.

Manage and recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies for deposit operations.

Develop and manage operational budget for the overall Operations area.

Partner with Human Resources to recruit and select applicant to fill vacancies. Recommend promotions, transfers, and terminations.

Evaluate job performance of subordinates and maintains effective employee relations

Represents the Credit Union as appropriate in its relationships with members, community organizations, other financial institutions, and similar groups.

Timely completion of own performance evaluation/ and review and submission of supervised employees' evaluations.

Assist with subpoenas.

Other duties related to TCU's operations or mission as assigned.
