Manager, Software Development Kohler Energy

Opportunity
The Manager, Software Development position will be part of a talented team of engineers/developers/data scientists devoted to creating & maintaining world class software applications connecting/monitoring residential power solutions.
Specific Responsibilities
Lead software engineering teams to meet overall business objectives for software product development, innovation, service, and maintenance.
Use business knowledge to communicate priorities, decision making and problem resolution.
Manage the development of front-end solutions, both on mobile and web, utilizing Flutter and Blazor Tech Stacks.
Manage the development of edge based IoT devices utilizing Azure Iot Edge.
Manage the development of cloud-based software on the Azure stack.
Create a strategic plan for software engineering.Leverage the technology roadmap to influence how the organization should change and grow.
Practice risk management in decision making to execute projects requiring application of new technologies with unique integration.
Lead in a cross-functional team environment to develop and document requirements and specifications.
Hire, mentor, grow and retain software engineers and QA engineers in knowledge, skills and efficiency.
Work within an agile development environment.
Work closely with product teams to ensure products meet business goals and expectations.
Estimate product development costs.
Support production and service groups with an efficient software release and update process.
Foster an environment for direct reports that is engaging, encourages innovation, and provides prompt feedback on performance.
Work closely with other members of the engineering and product teams
Skills/Requirements
Four-year degree in Computer Science or other related field
3+ years of experience leading and managing remote software engineering teams.
Strong software engineering fundamentals
Experience using multiple programming languages in both front and back-end development environments.
5+ years of experience in software product development
Experience in enterprise software architecture and database design
HTML, CSS3
C# or other structured OOP language experience
Excellent problem solving and programming skills
Experience in developing Client-Server software solutions.
Experience with relational databases such as SQL
Experience with RESTful web services
Able to work effectively both independently as well as with a team
Microsoft Office applications - Office Suite (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Visio and Project
Preferred
IoT Edge Based Experience
Database experience (MongoDB, SQL)

The salary range for this position is $134,700 - $173,200. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
