Job description
Our industrial client in Greenville, SC is seeking an HR Benefits Specialist to assist with benefits, retirement, and administration of leave for their US and Canada offices. The ideal candidate will have a year of HR or Benefits support experience and come with an eager attitude to learn!
This is a Direct Hire opportunity with standard in-office hours.
Responsibilities:
- Validate the accuracy of benefits enrollments using the ADP Workforce Now system
- Facilitate benefits onboarding sessions for newly onboarded employees
- Aid in benefit renewals, including the compilation of census data
- Conduct quality audits related to benefits and enrollment processes
- Coordinate strategies for communication campaigns related to benefits
- Enroll employees with carriers in specific cases and manage life status changes
- Generate tailored reports using the custom reporting system in ADP
- Address inquiries from managers and employees regarding benefits, covering plan details, enrollment, status changes, and general questions
- Administer and process all leave-of-absence requests and handle disability paperwork, encompassing medical, personal, and disability leaves
- Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications concerning leaves of absence and disabilities
- Collaborate with benefit providers to resolve administrative and employee-related issues
- Identify and rectify system issues, collaborating with the Benefit Manager for master data corrections and potential system enhancements
- Work closely with HR and Payroll Departments to ensure the accuracy of deductions
- Evaluate and propose updates to benefit summaries, open enrollment materials, and ongoing communication resources
- Supervise and manage the phone queue to ensure timely and accurate responses to calls
- Review weekly eligibility updates across various benefit portals and carriers/vendors, including terminations, changes, and additions
- Address weekly carrier error reports and resolve issues promptly
- Provide assistance for special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Critical thinking skills to manage priorities and workflow
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- 1+ year of HR experience
- ADP Workforce Now experience preferred
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
