QA Automation Tester
New Castle, Delaware

Contract
$73/hr – $78/hr
Grow your career as a QA Automation Tester with an innovative global bank in New Castle, DE. Contract role with strong possibility of extension. Will require working a hybrid schedule 3 days onsite per week.
Join one of the world’s most renowned global banks and trusted brand with over 200 years of continuously evolving financial services worldwide. Will plan and lead testing initiatives related to process and product rollout into production. Testing specialists who to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans for an application testing strategy/approach, create/review test cases, guide and support test case execution, and perform test closure activities. You will work alongside some of the smartest minds in the industry who are excited to share their knowledge and to learn from you.
Contract Duration: 8+ Months
Required Skills & Experience
+ BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.
+ 4 to 6 years of testing experience in complex applications.
+ 4 to 6 years of experience in globally distributed teams successfully.
+ Hands on experience with test automation tools, ex. Selenium, Zephyr.
+ Project management tools like Jira.
+ Hands-on experience with regression and end to testing of large enterprise applications.
+ Hands-on experience with design of test cases, test scenarios.
+ Strong understanding of how to build and implement scalable testing frameworks for enterprise level global applications.
+ Experience of integrated E2E testing across partner services.
+ Strong understanding of object oriented analysis and design, design patterns, high availability and concurrent programming.
+ Demonstrated excellent software testing skills.
+ Strong experiences in test design & execution.
+ Strong experience in designing automation framework using hybrid methodology.
+ Working experience in Java, UNIX .
+ Experience in automation tools like Selenium and Lean FT, exposure to UFT / QTP .
+ Experience in using Selenium Grid, Test NG frameworks for parallel execution and reporting.
+ Experience in mobile automation with Perfecto.
+ Experience in API automation using REST / SOAP APIs.
+ Experience in CI/CD methodologies, Test Driven methodologies.
+ Strong database experience (DB2/Oracle/ SQL ).
+ Experience in working on BDD technology stack – Gherkin, Cucumber, Bitbucket.
+ Expert level in Jira, Serenity, ALM .
+ Experience defect management ( ALM , Jira).
+ Experience in programming languages viz. Java, Spring.
+ Exposure on DevOps tools – TeamCity, uDeploy, Maven, GitHub, Jenkins.
+ Knowledge on other scripting languages – Perl/JavaScript/Shell scripting.
+ Experience in validation of web services technologies REST , SOAP and UI Automation and Ensure quality of deliverables.
+ Exposure and knowledge of Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment process and tools.
+ Estimate test accurately and coordinate with team members for work activities.
+ Promotes continuous process improvement especially in code quality, testability & reliability.
Desired Skills & Experience
+ CSTE / ISTQB Certification
+ Appium framework knowledge.
+ Experience in financial industry.
+ Experience with Commercial Cards applications and processes.
+ Experience with Agile methodology.
What You Will Be Doing
+ Responsible for providing test ownership of multiple large scale/complex global testing solutions.
+ Build and sustain strong relationships with the senior business leaders associated with the platform.
+ Work closely with Program Management and Quality Control teams to deliver quality software to agreed project schedules.
+ Proactively notify Development Project Manager of risks, bottlenecks, problems, issues, and concerns.
+ Compliance with the company’s System Development Lifecycle and Information Security requirements.
+ Monitor, update and communicate project timelines and milestones; obtain senior management feedback; understand potential speed bumps and client’s true concerns/needs.
+ Understanding technology industry trends, how they impact our future solutions and provide strategic direction for the testing community.
+ Develop and drive the Automation strategy for Automation Practice.
+ Design the framework, approach and provide the cost-effective automation solutions to the customers.
+ Regular monitoring and reporting for KPIs and Metrics for Automation.
+ Work with Vendor teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
+ Able to conduct tool evaluation and provide recommendations. Documents, evaluates and researches test results for future replication.
