What will you do?

The National Account Manager Retail will be responsible for overseeing and developing a sales strategy to drive and maintain company revenue. The National Sales Manager reports into the SVP Indirect Sales. Their focus is on maintaining and developing a strategic working relationship with Big Box Retailers to position us to achieve and exceed our Sales & Profit Targets. This role would be pivotal in growing and adding new accounts in addition to maintaining the relationships we have with our current National Accounts across the country. Chemical Guys prides itself on delivering products and services of the highest quality and uniformity to consistently meet our customers needs.

· Oversee, develop and execute innovative sales strategies for National Accounts such as Walmart, Sams Club, Costco, Target Corp, AutoZone, The Home Depot, Advance Auto Parts and other similar Auto Specialty & Big Box Accounts

· Analyze sales statistics to identify areas of improvement and track results/trends regularly for accurate business forecasting

· Report on POS Sales, Promotional Results, Sales v Plan and others

· Build and form new partnerships with potential customers

· Maintain existing relationships with current customers

· Coordinate and facilitate communication with internal customer service, freight logistics, accounting, quality and operations

· Establish and maintain account relationships across a broad range of functions including the customers executive team (Owner, CEO, CPO, COO)

· Develop trust with customers that provides a significant competitive barrier

· Ability to identify a customers long-term growth strategy and create and sell beyond core products that would be best aligned with Chemical Guys technical and operational resources (R&D, Market insights)

· Successful negotiation of contracts and proposals to ensure sales objectives are met

· Ability to define Chemical Guys product and service values in the sales process and establish pricing that maximizes sales & profit? to Chemical Guys based on the value delivered

· Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to facilitate successful completion of business growth and product improvement opportunities

· Support and share best practices with team members in developing new market opportunities

· Travel as needed (8-10 trips per year) Canada, US, Mexico

What will you need?

Position Location: Torrance, CA (must be willing to be in the office Mon-Fri)

· Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 7 years of experience in National Account HQ Sales and Management experience with AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, Walmart or similar is highly preferred.

· Experience selling and managing Consumer Packed Goods / Consumable Items at a National HQ Level

· Effective communication skills offering insights internally and externally to ensure objectives and progress is clear to all involved

· Analytical Skills

· Proficient working knowledge of Category Management Principles

· Ability to quickly learn and effectively use Customer specific portals

· Strong leadership qualities and analytical skills to interpret and translate data into actional plans

· Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook

First Year Deliverables

· 3 months:

o Attend SDU and become familiar with the Chemical Guys Product Portfolio

o Visit 3-5 retail locations of each National Account to build familiarity

o Login and become familiar with each Customer Specific Portal

o Meet one-on-one with Cross-functional leaders and peers at Chemical Guys (schedule to be provided by leadership)

o Identify New Points of Distribution (POD) opportunities both in the Automotive Space and outside the Automotive Space).

· 6 months:

o Meet with each National Account Merchandise Leader either face-to-face or virtually

o Understand the content, approach and methodology of developing business opportunities such as Line Reviews, Promotional Opportunities and Incremental Business needs

o Track and Adjust to hit Sales Plan and Points of Distribution (POD) Goals

o Be viewed by our Trade Partners as the Point of Contact and 1st contact for Account opportunities, needs and issues

· 12 months:

o Provide Leadership in thought and ideation for development and execution of Chemical Guys National Accounts

o Achieve published Sales and POD Goals

o Become active and participate in building National Account Sales Goals and Objectives

o Identify new areas and opportunities for growth
