Job description

We are hiring Fire Alarm Technician to install and update fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings in Beaumont, TX. You will perform inspections, test alarms, and troubleshoot or document any issues. You will also respond to emergency service calls and ensure the systems are functioning properly. Applicants for this position must have their level I or higher NICET certification, which requires prior experience. You should also be knowledgeable about NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72.

Fire Alarm Technician Duties and Responsibilities

· Install or upgrade fire alarms in commercial and residential buildings

· Test and repair alarm systems already in place

· Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code

· Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues

· Respond to emergency service calls

· Maintain a clean and safe workspace

Requirements

Fire Alarm Technician Requirements and Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED certificate

· NICET certification preferred (requires prior experience or training)

· Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus (including 70 and 72)

· Experience with commercial and residential systems

· Troubleshooting skills

· Ability to work on ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.

· Valid driver's license and be insurable on company insurance to drive service van.
