Position Summary/Description:

This position supports the on-site warehouse management for the continuous operation of the Energy Services departments. This position supports the purchasing and inventory control of the warehouse items, as well as special orders. This position researches costs, obtains quotes and assist personnel with the procurement of components, spares and equipment. This position maintains detailed inventory records, receives, delivers, stores, issues, provides care of stockroom/warehouse supplies and notifies the Supervisor of errors or problems with processes and procedures. This position requires a strong working knowledge of the components, equipment and systems at the above facilities. Position works with operations to reorder acid and caustic for water treatment. This position uses MAXIMO , a computerized work management system, in particular, the purchasing and inventory modules. This position monitors inventory levels and researches just-in-time delivery as required for outage or emergency work orders.

A valid NC driver's license and the ability to obtain forklift training operation certification are required for this position.

This position is Adverse Weather, Emergency Duty and Communicable Disease Mandatory. The incumbent must report to work during periods of adverse weather, university emergency or potential public health emergencies. This position also participates in an On-Call Rotation.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalency.
