Ameriprise – Troy/Novi, MI – Ferhadson and Associates an Ameriprise Financial advisory practice is seeking a fulltime Paraplanner to join our innovative and dynamic team. At Ameriprise Financial we help people feel confident about their financial future by providing comprehensive financial planning and investment consulting to families, individuals, and small organizations to help achieve financial goals and simplify their financial lives.
Job Purpose:
Serve as a Paraplanner, providing exceptionally friendly, helpful, high-quality service to our clients. This position will work closely clients and advisors to assist with creating financial plans, assisting with transactions and completing investment research.
Responsibilities:
- Review client accounts and make recommendations as needed
- Create and track applications and new business
- Data gathering and client document review
- Create investment and retirement recommendations
- Create presentations for client meetings
- Attends and participate in client meetings as necessary
- Executes trades with documented direction from Advisor
- Prepares case prep and meets with Advisor to discuss
- Assists advisor with pro-actively managing industry and company compliance requirements
- Responds to ad hoc requests, coordinating/tracking projects and/or managing business-as-usual projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- 2+ years of similar work experience in a professional office environment, ideally in the financial services industry
- Series, 7, Series 66 and MI Life & Health required
- Pleasant, professional and friendly manner with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong team player
- Highly organized, accurate, and attention to detail
- Proven analytical and independent problem-solving skills
- Highly proficient with in Microsoft office including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience with Salesforce
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities
- Strong personal and business ethics and integrity
Salary and Benefits:
Compensation: $52,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience
Benefits: PTO, medical, 401k and paid holidays
