Junior Accountant

Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team as a Junior Accountant. In this entry-level role, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial health of our company by maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable and payable, and assisting with various accounting tasks. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and gain valuable industry experience.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable:
- Maintain accurate records of customer invoices and outstanding balances.
- Document invoices and ensure proper supporting documentation is attached.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and initiate collection efforts as needed.
- Accounts Payable:
- Create purchase orders for goods and services.
- Process vendor invoices for timely payment.
- Verify the validity of invoices before processing payment.
- Reconcile credit card merchant accounts according to bank statements.
- General Accounting:
- Update financial records using QuickBooks Online.
- Gather payroll expenses and input them into the appropriate entry line in QuickBooks.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly budgets under the guidance of senior management.
- Analyze financial statements and assist in preparing balance sheets.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist senior accountants with other financial tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a high level of organization and accuracy in all work performed.
- Stay up-to-date on accounting principles and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
- Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks Online (preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
